Building Confident, Curious & Capable Learners for Life
Why We Do What We Do
We believe the first five years of life are the most significant for a child’s development. Our purpose is to provide a stable foundation of resilience and curiosity. We do what we do because every child deserves a space where they truly belong. By prioritising emotional security, we give children the best possible start to their education.
How It All Started
Balls Paddock is a Community based LDC run through Bulli Football Club’s organisation. Our centre was founded on the belief that childcare should feel like an extension of the family. We saw a need for a community based childcare centre in Woonona that shifts toward a more personal, relationship-focused approach. Since our doors opened in 1988, we have remained committed to this vision by hiring educators who share our passion for long term stability and maintaining a standard of care that local families can rely on.
Our Values & Mission
Security First
We believe that learning only happens when a child feels completely safe. We prioritise stable relationships and predictable environments to ensure every child feels at ease.
Respect for Childhood
We value play-based discovery and allow children to grow at their own pace. We treat every child as an individual with their own unique strengths and interests.
Commitment to Excellence
We don't settle for "good enough." Through our Exceeding standards, we continuously invest in our educators and our environment to provide the highest level of care.
Success & Recognition
Our focus has always been on delivering a level of care that surpasses basic requirements. This commitment to quality is formally recognised through our standing in the National Quality Framework, providing families with the assurance that their child is receiving an elite standard of early education.
The Future
Our focus for the future is to remain at the forefront of early childhood education while staying true to our small-scale roots. We are committed to evolving our play-based curriculum and upgrading our learning environments to meet the changing needs of Woonona families.
As we look ahead, our goal is to ensure that every child who graduates from Balls Paddock leaves with the social resilience, curiosity, and confidence they need to thrive in primary school. We will continue to invest in our educators and our community, ensuring we remain a reliable place for local learners for years to come.
